“My time here has been shaped by the time I spent with fellow teens and teachers,” said alumni student Pedro Cardosa as he addressed the audience. Here, he looks over his speech before taking the stage to officially address this year’s graduates from St. Stephens Youth Programs last Thursday, June 2, at the Jorge Hernandez Cultural Center in the South End. Cardosa graduated last year and joins the 31 graduates from this year who have been with the program since they were very little, with supports continuing as they go to college.
