The Blackstone Square will be turned into a summer fun space with music, food and socializing at the 6th Annual Soulstice celebration by Washington Gateway Main Street (WGMS) and the Blackstone/Franklin Squares Neighborhood Association.
Jenny Effron, director of WGMS, said this week that they are lining up a very fun celebration for Weds., June 21, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. – complete with Food Trucks and live music.
There will be four bands playing in the Square and three food trucks parked alongside.
The bands include:
- Henry Acker Gypsy Jazz, 5:30 p.m.
- Roderick Camelia Latin Jazz
- Sleeping Monkey (classic rock)
- Marcella Cruz (R&B/Soul)
The food trucks will include Daddy’s Bonetown Burgers, Tenoch Mexican, and Sapa Vietnamese Kitchen. There will also be a Fomu Ice Cream stand.
Effron said the music this year will be part of the Make Music Boston series – an international designation associated with Fete de Musique that seeks to have live, free music playing in public spaces on the summer solstice.
Meanwhile, WanderLush creative cocktails will be on site, and Collective Arts Brewery will have a beer garden.
Community groups and organizations will also be represented with informational booths and tables.
