As the Pierce Boston tower presides in a new way over the Fenway, sales within the residential project also continue to grow.
The project was completed and opened on March 1.
Some of the first sales of condos hit the public record in the last few weeks, with 21 sales appearing recently and fetching anywhere from $2.87 million to $868,000. Seven of the 21 sales were more than $2 million and 13 were for more than $1 million.
Joel Sklar, principal of Samuels & Associates – the Pierce’s developer, said they are thrilled with the sales activity to date, as well as the rentals.
“We are thrilled that people have responded to the Pierce Boston residences with so much excitement,” he said. “There’s been very strong interest in both condos and apartments starting well before our grand opening in March, with 82 percent sold and 45 percent rented to date. Spring’s warmer weather will only further shine a light on what makes the Pierce a true urban oasis – unparalleled outdoor amenity space and sweeping views of the City skyline.”
Pierce Boston is the tallest building in the Fenway and was heralded for bringing new “height” to the neighborhood when it was being developed. There are 109 luxury condominium units located on the 19th through 29th floors, designed to maximize 360-degree views of Boston, Cambridge, the Charles River, and the Emerald Necklace with three sides of floor-to-ceiling windows. Condo units range from one-bedroom units to three-bedroom penthouses, varying in size from 612 to 2,684 square feet.
The apartment rental component includes 240 rental units located on the third through 17th floors. The building has a selection of studios up to three-bedroom apartments, ranging from 437 to 1,560 square feet.
