Last Saturday was the last weekend for Mayor Martin Walsh’s Boton Shines campaign. Over the last three weekends various neighborhoods including Back Bay, South End, Kenmore and Fenway had took brooms and rubbish bags to the streets to clean-up winter’s reminder. Needless to say, the weather was just miserable for two of the weekends for clean-up of the streets and open spaces in our neighborhoods. But the rain did not deter residents from coming out.
We thank the residents who took part in the clean-up. To the younger members of the clean-up crew, we hope that you noticed that the trash that was collected comes from people — so the next time you see someone throwing something onto the street, you should say something – since this is your home
