Annual Evening on the Esplanade Set for July 13

Friends and Beacon Hill residents are invited once again to a summer evening filled with music, camaraderie and gourmet food at the opening night of the Boston Landmarks Orchestra on Wednesday, July 13th, at the DCR Hatch Shell on the Esplanade. Music Director Christopher Wilkins will lead the orchestra in “Rhapsody in Green”, featuring Tan Dun’s Secret of Wind and Birds and Ottorino Resphigi’s The Pines of Rome, a work featuring recorded birdsong.

Co-sponsored by the Beacon Hill Civic Association and Beacon Hill Village, this annual event will begin at 5:30 pm with a reception held for the first time in the hidden garden of the Church of the Advent, 30 Brimmer Street. There, guests can enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres including traditional antipasto generously provided by Toscano Restaurant. Pre-ordered boxed suppers provided by Panificio will be available for guests to take with them to their reserved seating at the Hatch Shell. The concert begins at 7:oo p.m. The rain date is Thursday, July 14 at 7:00pm.

The price for the event includes the wine and hors d’oeuvres reception, box supper and reserved seating at the concert. Tickets for Beacon Hill Village and Beacon Hill Civic Association members are $30; tickets for non-members are $35.
