A July 17 hearing regarding appropriations for various Boston Public Schools renovation and construction projects for which the City of Boston may be eligible for a grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority. Projects include:
•Twelve Million One Hundred One Thousand Six Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($12,101,645.00) for the purpose of paying the cost associated with boiler and window/door projects at the following local schools: Josiah Quincy School and the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science.
•One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) for the purpose of paying for the costs of a feasibility study and schematic design work associated with the renovation or new construction of a facility for the Josiah Quincy Upper School. Upon completion of the feasibility study, the City of Boston may be eligible for a grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority, said amount to be expended under the direction of the Public Facilities Department on behalf of Boston Public Schools.
•Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00) for the purpose of paying for the costs of a feasibility study and schematic design work associated with the renovation or new construction at the following local schools; McKinley K-12.
