Washington Gateway Main Street (WGMS) Director Jennifer Effron announced late last week that she intends to leave her post as director of one of the oldest Main Street programs in the City, choosing to spend more time with family.
Effron has been a fixture in the business community and at civic associations for the past several years, joining the organization as its director in 2012. Effron has a young family, and plans to spend more time with them at their Cambridge home.
In the mean time, WGMS President Kristin Phelan and Vice President Randi Lathrop announced that they are accepting applications and are conducting interviews right now for a new director.
The interest has been very high, they said, and they will continue to look at new applicants.
The full-time job requires a Bachelor’s Degree and pays between $55,000 and $75,000 commensurate on experience. The job requires good communication skills and the ability to work independently and with a 15-person volunteer Board of Directors.
Those interested in applying should send a resume and cover letter to Randi Lathrop at [email protected]. No phone calls please.
