The SoWa Open Market will kick off its 15th season with the launch of a new beer hall and taproom, housed in the iconic SoWa Power Station every Sunday, May 6 – Oct. 28. In partnership with Craft Collective, the SoWa Beer Barn will showcase a curated selection of local brewers such as Aeronaut Brewing, Fiddlehead Brewing, and Prospect Ciderworks. Visitors can look forward to draft brews, lawn games, live music, yoga classes, and 10 of Boston’s best food trucks.
“We’ve had a blast designing our newest addition to the SoWa Open Market. The Barn will feature vintage German biergarten tables, a custom-built container bar, and an exciting variety of beers that you won’t find at most bars,” said Bradley St. Amand, director of Operations. “The SoWa Open Market has long been a community gathering space that supports local makers, so we wanted to build out an experience that fits this mission and appeals to both families and beer lovers.”
The SoWa Open Market continues to celebrate local makers, featuring over 175 artisans, specialty food vendors, farmers, food trucks, brewers, and musicians. Each week, vendors and visitors converge in the SoWa Art + Design District, a vibrant landscape of art studios, galleries, design showrooms, and boutiques. The SoWa Open Market is family friendly, pet friendly, and free. Every Sunday, May – October, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Opening day will feature music by August First, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and Elisa Smith and Erin Bonnie, 2 – 4 p.m. Visitors can also enjoy the annual SoWa Art Walk, May 5 and 6.
