The SoWa Artist Guild held its ‘First Friday’ open house at the Harrison Avenue studios, with more than 50 artists opening their doors to the public – as they do on the first Friday of every month. Despite the snow, several visitors did show up to take a look at the extraordinary work and have a talk with the artists. Several artists were able to converse with one another as well, making a fine artists, social occasion. Here, James Berkman sat for a three-hour portrait session on First Friday with Painter Tom Ouellette, known for his talent in realism. The Guild will hold its first ‘Salon Sundays’ on March 20.
