April fool

On Monday, April 1, at about 12:50 a.m., police responded to a radio call for an assault and battery and to investigate a person at the Machine nightclub at 1254 Boylston St.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the caller, who said he was assaulted while trying to gain entry to the establishment. Police observed no visible injuries on the caller, who denied several offers for medical attention at that time. Officers also observed the caller, who was unsteady on his feet and slurring his words, drop his personal identification and credit cards to the ground.

Police then spoke to the security manager, who said that after the caller was denied entrance to the nightclub, he began spitting at security guards while attempting to force his way inside and struck a patron.

Due to the caller’s inebriated state, police transported him to his apartment.

Unwanted guest

On Saturday, April 7, at approximately 9:30 p.m., an officer responded to a radio call for a fight at the Sheraton Hotel at 39 Dalton St.

On arrival, police spoke to the hotel manager and two security guards who were standing with the male suspect. They explained to the officer that they had discovered the suspect passed out in the hotel lobby, and that he subsequently ignored repeated requests to leave the premises.

The suspect, whom the officer observed to be in a “very intoxicated state,” then became argumentative with hotel staff.

After the suspect ignored multiple requests from the officer to leave, he placed the suspect under arrest for trespassing and transported him to District 4 for booking.
