Applicant for Proposed Fenway Retail Marijuana Shop to Present Plans to Community

The applicant for a retail marijuana establishment proposed near Fenway Park at 120 Brookline St. will be on hand for a community outreach meeting sponsored by the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services at the Fenway Community Center, 1282 Boylston St., on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 6:30 p.m.

City Councilor Josh Zakim has been attending meetings throughout District 8, hearing from residents and making sure that would-be recreational marijuana vendors are in compliance with regulations.

“Like any other use such as a bar or a liquor store, we want to make sure these are responsible operators,” Zakim said. “This is a new process from everyone. We want to make sure everyone gets heard, and we look forward to hearing from everyone”

State Rep. Jay Livingstone said, “I hope [the establishment] does significantly more outreach that they have done to date.”
