Alexandra Hotel Building-Owners Issue Response
Dear Editor,
We are the owners of the Alexandra Hotel building and write in response to the letter to the editor by Randi Lathrop in the Dec. 18 edition of the Boston Sun.
We acknowledge that the condition of the building at street level needs some attention, and we are in the process of rectifying that, as we have done repeatedly over the past four years that we have owned the building.
Unfortunately, our development plans have been caught in two dire economic cycles during our four years of ownership. We wish to affirm and reiterate our commitment to this building and this project. We have committed substantial resources to this building to date and are doing everything we can to advance the project with city agencies. We firmly believe in this project and the restoration of this historic gem of a building at an important intersection between the South End and Roxbury.
We are grateful for the substantial support the project has received from neighbors and elected officials throughout the approval process.
