Kathryn Willmore and Jean Gibran, next to her late husband, Kahlil Gibran’s, sculpture, “West Canton Street Child,” during the Summer Picnic at Hayes Park in the South End. The picnic brought all of the neighborhood greats out for the summer fun, and a healthy dose of scurrying children ready to claim the Park as their summer spot.
